So sad:(

We've known for a while that our dog Kyla will have to go to a new home before the babies come, however, we are so sad about it. She is an amazing dog who has matured so much. We got good news and bad news this week. A friend of my grandmother's is really wanting a dog. As soon as I got a call and started thinking about possibly taking my dog and leaving her with someone for good I started crying harder than ever. It only lasted a few minutes then I had to talk to Samuel about it. Oh, you know I started crying again and couldn't stop. Then Kyla crawled up on the couch next to me like she knew what was going on. She just looked at me with that adorable face and I just hugged her. I know it is what's best for her and for us because we just won't have the time for her once the babies come but I LOVE this dog. She is a part of our family. We will miss her so much!

Sounds silly but...

Sounds silly but Samuel just mentioned how our kids will need Keen shoes for when we go camping. We're going to get to take our kids camping!!! I just can't wait to do so much:) I was talking to my Dad to day about how TV shows and the news bring up some really great parenting conversations. We've talked about our expectations for our children to be in sports and/or music. We want them to be exposed to different options not just what we did or like. Christian values, studying habits, electronic gaming, and healthy food choices are just a few more parenting topics that have come up in recent conversation. We've talked about these things before and all through our relationship assuming we would eventually have children, however, this is becoming so REAL! We are so excited to share our wonderful childhood experiences with our children. Thank you to the Holsworths and Gromelskis for being such awesome parents and great parenting examples. You have set us up for success. Praise God for His wonderful blessings.

If your curious...

This is too much fun! Mom and I have been looking at baby bedding and we decided to make our own. We found this great fabric for an accent piece. I say accent because I really don't want the kids room to turn into a theme. We just want it colorful and fun. We tried to stay with neutral colors because we don't know what we're having yet. Even if it is 2 girls we are keeping the blues and greens because we don't like pink. So here is a sneak peek of the accent fabric. Let me know what you think:)

Almost 10 weeks old...

It was so amazing to see the babies move and to hear their hearts beat is indescribable. God has created 2 miracles. It is crazy to think they are growing inside my belly right now. Its all happening so quickly but we still have a ways to go. Thank you all for praying for each of our babies and for us. We are looking forward to being parents. I just can't wait to sit in my big comfy chair and read stories to them:) I know there is only 1 baby in the picture but it was the most photogenic. And no... We cannot tell if it is a boy or girl yet. What you see in the picture is the cord. LOL
